To say that Jamie Baldridge is an imaginative genius is to state what will be obvious to anyone who views The Everywhere Chronicles, though readers of the tale he wrote to accompany the photographs may decide he is an escapee from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Using sumptuous colors and the most bizarre, sometimes zany, often mystical imagery, Baldridge reveals a world he has miraculously imagined. He then takes us on tour through the whimsical travelogue he has written to accompan his masterful photographs. His guidebook may be a little mad, but his photographs are no collection of elaborate jests and spoofs. They are the stuff of archetypes, and they transport us to mythic places of the mind, of memory, and of histories not yet written.
